As a Private Membership Association (PMA), membership dues and fees are voluntary contributions that support the operations, programs, and services of The Legacy Chamber – Domus Legati. All payments are contributions to a private association and are generally non-tax-deductible as charitable donations.
Members may cancel their membership at any time by providing written notice through the member portal or via email. Upon cancellation:
Initiation Fees: One-time initiation fees are non-refundable after the membership has been activated and benefits have been accessed.
Annual/Monthly Dues: Dues are billed in advance. Refunds for unused periods are provided at the Association's discretion on a pro-rated basis for valid cancellation requests made within 7 days of the billing date.
Event Fees: Fees for specific events, programs, or services may have separate refund policies as communicated at the time of registration.
New Members have a 7-day cooling-off period from the date of membership activation. During this period, Members may cancel their membership and receive a full refund of annual dues paid, minus any initiation fees and charges for benefits already received. To exercise this right, written notice must be provided within the 7-day period.
Refund requests will be processed within 14 business days of approval. The refund will be credited to the original payment method used for the transaction. Please allow an additional 5-10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement, depending on your financial institution.
The following are generally non-refundable:
In cases of extreme hardship, disability, or other exceptional circumstances, Members may submit a written request for a special refund consideration. Each request will be reviewed individually by the Association's administration. Supporting documentation may be required.
If membership is terminated by the Association due to violation of Terms and Conditions or other policy breaches, no refund of dues or fees will be provided. If membership is terminated by the Association without cause, a pro-rated refund may be issued at the Association's discretion.
To request a cancellation or refund:
If you have a dispute regarding a refund or cancellation decision, you may request a review by the Association's administration. All disputes will be handled in accordance with the dispute resolution procedures outlined in the Association Bylaws.
The Association reserves the right to modify this Return and Cancellation Policy at any time. Members will be notified of material changes via email or through the member portal. The policy in effect at the time of your membership will govern refund determinations.
